Fellow Vietnam Veterans:

On behalf of Vietnam Veterans of America Tri-State Chapter #949(VVA), I would like to welcome you to our website. I hope you find our website interesting, informative, and easy to navigate. I would also like to encourage you to join the VVA (for Vietnam Combat and Vietnam Era Veterans) or Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America (AVVA) for anyone who cares about our veterans.
After you join, I hope you will attend our

business meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. We have refreshments at 6:15 PM. We meet at the meeting hall of the American Legion Post #16 located at 1421 Sixth Avenue, Huntington, WV. We try to make our meetings interesting and informative and have a little fun at the same time. In addition to socializing with those who have experienced some of the same things you went through the following are some of the programs and activities our chapter supports throughout the year:

VA Medical Center Volunteers

Homeless Veterans Resource Center

Veterans Home Activities
Military and Veterans Appreciation Annual Picnic
Memorial Day Memorial Ceremony
Veterans Day Parade Participant

Pearl Harbor Day Memorial Ceremony
Veterans Commitee for Civic Improvement
Marshall University Scholarship

Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Award
Funeral Service for Vietnam Veterans

Vietnam Veterans License Plates

Many Other Activities

I hope you will be an active member and join with your fellow Vietnam Veterans in supporting the aforementioned activities. If I can be of any assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me.

"Welcome Home!"
